Darrell Wallace, Jr. has won at Greenville-Pickens Speedway for the second time in his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East career. He is now the first driver to score a win here twice in KNPSE competition.Wallace traded the lead late with Brett Moffitt, who was trying to be the first KNPSE driver to win here at Greenville from outside the top-10 starting spots, before stretching out in the final laps. While Moffitt faded, Corey LaJoie put pressure on Wallace, but wasn’t able to close in enough in the end.

6:06
The six cars that qualified before the rain came have the choice to purchase four new tires and top off with fuel if they so choose. The rest of the field has been impounded and teams can not work on their cars.
5:59
Here’s the official update from Les Westerfield. Qualifying is cancelled and the field will be set by the rule book. All pre-race activities, including the autograph session, have been cancelled. Driver intros will be in-car and the green flag for tonight’s race is tentatively still scheduled for 8pm.
5:55
We have just heard that qualifying is now cancelled. The field will be set by the rule book, starting with owners points. We’ll have more info on what the lineup will be shortly.
5:52
No changes to the schedule or procedures have been announced just yet.
5:52
Comment From Pedro Mugarte

Rain, rain go away! Still rain, the positions are defined for times in practice?

5:44
The official update from NASCAR officials is that they are still in a holding pattern. They are in communication with local weather officials and are evaluating the current weather situation.
5:36
Track drying efforts are continuing. The rain has stopped, but there’s some nasty looking clouds on the horizon. Hopefully they pass through or miss us.
5:28
Teams get under cover as the storms surround the track. Hopefully we are done with weather, but we will see. (Speed51.com Photo)
5:21
Wreckers and track safety vehicles have been called to the track to begin the drying process.
5:20
Cars are being pushed back just for precautionary reasons, according to Westerfield.
5:18
The rain has stopped here at the track as teams move towards their cars to move them.
5:17
We do not know if that means qualifying is washed out or not, just that’s what we heard on the series’ radio channel.
5:17
Les Westerfield, KNPSE Race Director, has announced that the cars are now impounded and teams can push the cars back under the ramps of their trailers. Team members must then step away from their cars and take cover from the storm.
5:12
According to the radar maps we see in the press box, there’s a nasty storm to the north of us and one to the south of us, but we should be barely missed by them both. Unfortunately, the radar appears to have lied to this point. The good news is that there are just a couple blotches of rain on the radar, so hopefully this clears out quickly.
5:08
Jorge Arteaga is scheduled to be the next car out, but a slight rain has started to fall on turns three and four.

4:49
Weather has become a concern in recent minutes as storms have popcorned around us. The good news is for now that it appears they will split the track and it remains dry with ten minutes to go to qualifying.
4:27
Driver’s Meeting has concluded and we are about half-an-hour away from qualifying.
4:26
