Allen Karnes has now also gone behind the wall early to load his machine as we approach the end of tonight’s practice sessions.
Wingo is now the only car on track as Knox, Reuse and Elliott have come in.

Steve Holzhausen will be looking to clean sweep the 2013 Yellow River Racing Series at the season finale on Saturday, September 14. Holzhausen easily won the first two events. Bubba Pollard has loaded his No. 26 machine into his hauler and appears to be done practicing for the evening.
As local division practice comes to a close, the Southern Super Series Super Late Models have lined up on pit road ready to head back out for their final session of the night coming up next.
Local divisions are now back on track for what is presumably their last practice session of the evening.
The 35th Annual Labor Day Classic 200 at Thunderroad Speedbowl in Barre, VT has become one of the best traditional events over the holiday. The ACT Tour will have an exciting 200-lap event around the historic oval. Plus, the Tiger Sportsman and Street Stocks will be in action. The second annual Chet Championship Weekend will take place on August 30-31 at Berlin Raceway. Tomorrow will be the 49th running of the Alabama 200 as each driver looks to add their name to history against guys like Bobby Allison, Red Farmer, Richard Petty, Ed Howe, Neil Bonnett, Jody Ridley, Ronnie Sanders, Mike Alexander, Bobby Gill and Eddie Mercer.

The 51st Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl is an event on many short track fans bucket list. This year’s event will take place on October 5-6 at the famous Vermont track. Drivers will compete in a three-segment event with the hopes of drinking the fresh milk and immortalizing themselves by kissing a cow. We have received word that the No. 5 of Dillon Oliver has lost an engine in this afternoon’s practice session and will not be joining us for tomorrow night’s Alabama 200 here at MMS.
The Super Late Models have come to the pits and the local late models are now on track for a brief practice session of their own.
Southern Super Series points contenders Pollard and Hemric have both made runs and now come back to the pits.
Theriault is now the only car on track in his Brad Keselowski Racing Checkered Flag Foundation No. 29.
Elliott only made a quick run and is back in the pits seemingly just as fast as he went out.
The 48th Annual Florida Governor’s Cup weekend provides three great days of racing action on the popular half-mile oval in central Florida on October 24-26. The Governor’s Cup 200 on Saturday, October 26. Thursday, October 24 will highlight Sportsman, Super Stocks, Pro-Trucks,and Strictly Stocks. It is one of the crown jewel Super Late Model events in the country. The 42nd Annual Winchester 400 will take place on October 11-12-13 at the high-banked Winchester Speedway in Winchester, IN. We are back under green with the second round of Super Late Model practice.
The All-American 400 is one of the most prestigious short track events in the country and it’s back in 2013 even bigger and better than before. Before the rain began to sprinkle, Bobby Knox, Jr. had just taken to the track as the first Southern Super Series Super Late Model to take back to the track for their second round of practice.
A few rain drops have started to fall here at Montgomery Motor Speedway and teams are now working to cover their cars on pit road.
Before we get rolling with the second round of practice we will have a short session for the Outlaw division car that jas joined us this evening as well as one for some street stocks also in the pits this afternoon.
Austin Theriault will cross the line one more time and that will conclude the first round of Southern Super Series practice this afternoon.
The white flag is in the air for this round of practice.

As he came down the frontstretch Dillon Oliver’s machine emitted a puff of smoke before slowly rolling around to the pits and coming to a stop.

We have a quiet moment on track now as all cars have made their way to the pits for adjustments. Another hauler has also pulled into the pits.
TJ Reaid is now on track as well in the early stages of this practice session.
The fourth Gulf Coast Doubleheader weekend for the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco is set for September 20 & 21. The weekend kicks off with a combination event for the Southern Super Series and the Buddy’s Home Furnishings Blizzard Series at Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway on Friday, September 20. The action shifts a few miles down Interstate 10 to Alabama’s Mobile International Speedway on Saturday, September 21, for the combination Southern Super Series and Miller Lite Series 125-lap feature.
