They are old tires. He doesn’t plan on putting new tires on until the scuff session. He is happy with the car. He said has over 150 laps and running good lap times.

12:02

Yes the “Choose Rule” is in effect for tonight. Similar to the “Madhouse style” restarts, a cone will be placed on the track and each competitor will have the choice of which lane to go to prior to each restart.

12:00

Comment From Aaron

The key to this race is like Bristol. Survive the early stages and ride until 1/2 way. After 1/2 way adjust the car as the track usually tightens up. The teams and drivers that can make that adjustment usually will pull away in the last 50 laps. Is the ‘choose rule’ in effect for tonight? I hope so.

Morgan is happy with the promoters idea of putting more money in the purse rather than paying Cup drivers to be a part of this historic event. He feels that the event is going back to the way it is meant to be and to him it shows that the track appreciates the competitors who compete here weekly.

10:27

Morgan’s car # is 92. When Trickle passed away, he changed it 99. He says he may go back to the 92 after today, but if it gives him good luck, he will stick with it. First night he ran the 99, he set fast time.
