We have two notables making their Pro Cup debuts today. 15-year-old Chase Elliott out of Dawsonville, Georgia will make his first start at the same track his dad made his first cup start way back in 1976. Elliott will be in the number 9 car and will also be on the pole for the Sunoco National Tour race later today. Also making their first Pro Cup start is 17-year-old Johanna Long out of Pensacola, Florida. The 2009 Snowball Derby pole sitter and Blizzard Series champion has already made an ARCA start here at Rockingham.

Yes they only have nine cars, but they will have their race today. The series has switched to a new body and it’s a cool looking car, but the transition has been slow.
