We’ve seen in Pro Late Model tech that Korey Ruble is having some trouble getting his car started. It will run for a few moments and then shut off.

We also observed that Eddie VanMeter was having some height issues when going through tech.

Fans attending today’s Rattler 250 will now get a “2 for 1” ticket. Ticket prices have not been changed from the original $25 for adults and $10 for children 6-12. Fans will now see both today’s regularly scheduled Super Late Model Rattler 250 as well as yesterdays rescheduled Pro Late Model Rattler 100.
10:59
10:58
We’ve had a few questions concerning the reasoning behind shortening the Pro Late Model Rattler 125 to 100 laps. To clarify, the race was shortened to 100 laps to be a 4-tire race in an effort to save money for the teams since the payout was also lessened. The purse was decreased because the track will now only have one day’s worth of ticket sales to support the purse as opposed to the two days they would have had if the show was run yesterday or moved to next weekend. The track wanted to be fair to the racers and allow them to race this weekend.

DJ VanderLey takes some time to look over his homework from Auburn. (51 Photo)
10:54
Notes from the driver’s meeting:

-If last chance race, 26 locked from qualifying and top-4 transfer in from 15 lap last chance race.
-Track owner/promoter John Dykes will pay tow money to any drivers who do not make the race.
-No cars on track, just drivers for autograph session.
-Last chance race will be 15 laps all green.
-First 100 laps of Rattler 250 will be green.
-First 35 of Rattler 100 will be green.
-In Rattler 250, the 10 minutes allowed for pitting will begin when the last car reaches their pit stall.
-There will be no Lucky Dog Award in the last 10 laps.

10:52
It’s currently 48 degrees and still cloudy and windy here at South Alabama Speedway in Kinston, Alabama. However, the good news is that the rain has stopped and there is no more forecasted for the remainder of the day.

CRA Super Series Super Late Model Rattler 250 and Pro Late Model Rattler 100 Revised Schedule

8am – Pits open
10am – Driver’s Meeting
10:30am – 11:30 – Super Late Model Tech (then to pit road for staging)
11:30am – Pro Late Model Hot Laps
12:15pm – Pro Late Model Qualifying (cars impounded after qualifying)
1:15 – Autograph Session
1:45 – Pro Late Model Last Chance Qualifying Race (if more than 30 cars)
CRA Super Series Super Late Model Rattler 250 to follow PLM Last Chance Qualifier
Pro Late Model Rattler 100 to immediately follow Rattler 250

10:49
After it was determined that there was no way to avoid the weather to get the Pro Late Model Rattler 125 in last night, track owner John Dykes gave the drivers the option of coming back next weekend to run the race at the full advertised distance of 125 laps or shortening the race to 100 laps and cutting the purse to run it today. Almost all teams voted in favor of cutting the laps and purse to run it today rather than tow their cars home and have to bring them back next weekend. Since the Pro Late Models weren’t able to get their qualifying in yesterday, they will qualify today at 12:15 and race immediately following the Super Late Model Rattler 250.
