Among the subjects discussed in the drivers meeting were concerns by several drivers about track conditions moving forward this season. After complaints during last weekend’s Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway (AL), both Mike Garvey and Bubba Pollard spoke out about the need for better communication between race control and the drivers.

Spence and Brooks both agreed that if a driver does not feel the track conditions are satisfactory for a qualifying run or a restart, it is acceptable for that driver to pull down and stop on track. Officials assured drivers that they would not be penalized in such an instance.
