That does it from New Hampshire Motor Speedway. We thank you for following us for the last three days here on Trackside NOW.

We're hopefully see you later tonight at Canaan Fair. Twitter updates tonight from @speed51dotcom .

I'm Tim Quievryn at the keys, Elgin Traylor from the pits, and Bob Dillner, Matt Kentfield, and Mike Twist from the booth and we thank you for tuning it because it's a true pleasure to do this for all you fans. Have a good rest of the weekend.

2:47
Mike Stefanik, who finished 28th, was the only true championship points contender who faced issues today. Everyone else entering in the top-ten in points today finished 17th or better.
2:46
In the points, points leader Rowan Pennink finished sixth, which by Tim Quievryn's math, is giong to be enough to maintain the points lead by just ten markers. Ted Christopher, Eric Beers, and Matt Hirschman will also remain fixed third through fifth unofficially.
2:43
We're going to make like Rowan Pennink and Ted Christopher here in just an hour or two and head to Cannan Fair Speedway in Canaan, NH. Tonight, the Modified Racing Series will compete in the Ricky's Race For Kids, a great race for a great cause.

Be sure to follow @speed51dotcom on Twitter because we will give you updates, updates, updates there all year long but especially tonight. Also, we encourage you to Like Us on Facebook, http://www.facebook.com/speed51 .

No hating, just suspicion. The 6 and the 2 have the best motors on the tour and they can't keep up together? .

THANKS - Great Job!

Comment From Matthew Dillner

I grew up with Mod races, love Mod races at NHMS. Congrats to Newman, Bono, Russell and all of the boys. Not taking anything away from Newman but that was the only bad Modified race I've ever seen at NHMS. Usually they are over the top good. Something is going on here. I know a few veterans told me the cars were faster racing solo and not in the draft (which is unusual). Where did the NHMS Mod Bump Draft go? What is happening is my question and I hope they dont race like that again up here. NHMS Mod racing usually rocks - MD

2:01
LAP 90 - Ten to go. Newman looks set.
2:00
Comment From NV

1:58
LAP 84 - newman threw it into three and takes the lead back.
1:57
LAP 83 - Hello, Newman. Side-by-side, Neman low and Silk high into three.
1:56
LAP 82 - Silk by half-a-second on Newman, another half-second back to Szegedy. Coby is now 16.125 seconds back.
1:56
LAP 81 - Newman might indeed have been just riding. He is now tracking down Silk at will.
1:55
LAP 80 - Newman dives under Szegedy into three.
1:55
TC is sixth, but nineteen seconds back exactly. Yikes.
1:55
Comment From mike christopher jr

how many seconds away is ted from the lead

1:54
LAP 76 - I'd like to see a caution give Coby and Hirschman a chance. Both are running at about the same speed as the top-three. Silk up by half-a-second as Newaman sizes up Szegedy.
1:53
LAP 75 - Hirschman crosses the line in fifth. Leader Silk is already into three.
1:53
Everyone is driving deep in. Top-three driving hardest at this point. Newman overdrove three and lost ground
1:52

Newman looks to be saving fuel in 3rd...

1:52
LAP 73 - Top-three strung right together again as they work lap traffic.
1:51
LAP 71 - Hirschman finally by Christopher for fifth.
1:51
Yes, motor
1:51
Comment From Guest

What happend to Preece? Motor?

1:51
Running order on lap 69. Keep in mind that some cars have not cycled back to the loop yet on the lap count. 23 on the lead lap.
1:50
1:50
LAP 69 - Coby still fourth byut, 14.197 seconds back.
1:49
Comment From Eric

This race is a battle of attrition. Accidents and heat are taking their toll.

1:49
Comment From NE

Someone MUST give Ryan [Preece] a ride!!!

1:49
LAP 66 - Rowan Pennink, Yuhas, and Goodale battle from 8th to 10th.
1:48
LAP 65 - Thirty-five to go - Ronnie Silk up by half-a-second on Szegedy.
1:48
LAP 64 - Coby is all alone in fourth. Great run for him today. Christopher is fifth just a bit up on Hirschman.
1:47
Comment From Eric

Mark my words, some drivers are conserving fuel and will go the distance.

1:47
LAP 63 - If it somehow goes green the rest of the way, the top three are up by 13 seconds and won't be caught.
1:46
Heartbreaker for him. His family owned team is kaput for the day it appears.
1:46
LAP 60 - Preece in trouble. Slows out of turn two.
1:45
LAP 59 - Coby up to fifth and now looks under Preece.
1:44
LAP 57 - Heavy favorite Bobby Santos has slid back to 15th.
1:44
LAP 56 - Ron Yuhas has made it to 10th.
1:43
LAP 55 - Silk, Szegedy and Newman still within a half-second of each other. Hirschman and TC battle for fifth yet again.
1:42
LAP 54 - Silk by Andy Seuss to lap him. Only 25 on the lead lap.
1:42
LAP 53 - Don't think the cars can make it on fuel if the race goes green from here.
1:41
Halfway running order for you there - Silk, Szegedy, Newman, Preece, and TC.
1:41
1:40
LAP 50 - Newman falls back to third as Szegedy trails Silk by half a second
1:40
If you ever lose your broadcast signal, try reloading the page. Not sure cause I don't have access at the moment to the stream from my spot in the media center.
1:39
Comment From Guest

Did anybody elses radio broadcast go out via nascar hometracks??? Or is it me???

1:39
LAP 48 - LEAD CHANGE - Silk flies by Newman in two.
1:39
LAP 47 - Preece makes a power move, passing Hirschman on the outside and then diving under TC into three.
1:38
LAP 46 - Points leader Rowan Pennink trying to take ninth from Peninnk. TC, Hirschman, and Preece nose to tail for 4th through 6th.

1:37

1:34
LAP 37 - Newman swings back around Szegedy through two for the lead.
1:34
LAP 36:

1 Szegedy
2 Newman
3 Silk
4 Santos
5 Christopher
6 Hirschman
7 E. Goodale
8 Coby
9 Szegedy
10 Preece

1:33
LAP 36 - Hirschman diamonding the corners trying to get around TC for fifth.
1:33
LAP 34 - Quarterley offiicially out now due to engine. Stefanik will also retire from the event.
1:32
LAP 33 - Szegedy TO THE LEAD. First lead change.
1:32
LAP 32 - Dale Quarterley, who hit pit road a few times already, gets a speeding penalty. He's back in 28th.
1:31
LAP 31 - Szegedy seems glued to Newman's back bumper. Stefanik hits pit road from around 15th. Team looks under his hood.
1:30
LAP 30 - Goodale trying to draft Hirschman by TC battling for 5th.
1:30
LAP 29 - Jimmy Blewett hits pit road with mechanical issues. Patrick Emerling never left pit road after his spin and had to have the fire department called over for some sort of fire.
1:29
LAP 27 - Beers and Civali race side by side for 12th. Best battle on the track.
1:28
LAP 25 running order.
1:28
1:28
LAP 24 - Cars forming three-car or four-car trains around the track.
1:27
LAP 23 - Newman hasn't gotten away from Szegedy this run. Szegedy on his bumper through one.
1:26
LAP 21 - Newman, Szegedy, Silk, Santos, and Christopher your top-five. Hirschman, E. Goodale, Coby, Pennink, and Preece your top-ten
1:26
LAP 21 = Pennink in 9th is really bump drafting with Coby. I saw Pennink really test that in practice.
1:25
We would like to thank Competitive Auto Supply for their support of the New England Speedweeks today.

LAP 19 - Santos takes fourth back from Christopher. TC gives him a bump draft down the back.

1:24
LAP 17 - Patrick Emerling spins. No caution. Three solo spins today with only one caution. Emerling hits pit road.
1:24
LAP 16 - Flemke does it AGAIN and this time passes both Civali and Ron Yuhas.
1:23
LAP 15 - Flemke took Stefanik and Civali three-wide into three in a battle for 13th through 15th.
1:23
LAP 14 - GREEN - Newman gone again. Szegedy takes second. Christopher does his notorious bottom shot to take fourth.
1:22
For those of you not 100% familiar with the numbers in this series, here's the top-ten written out.

1) 7 Newman
2) 6 Silk
3) 4 Santos
4) 2 Szegedy
5) 93 Pennink
6) 36 Christopher

10) 58 E. Goodale

1:21
#33, #26 to the rear on the next restart for pit road violations.
1:20
1:19
Newman had just checked out to a half-second lead (which is pretty big at this track)
1:19
LAP 10 - CAUTION - Seuss spins out of four. Doesn't hit anything.
1:18
LAP 9 - Rudolph spins in four with no caution. Silk retakes second in four.
1:18
LAP 8 - Top-ten single file:

1 Newman
2 Santos

6 TC
7 Coby
8 Hirschman
9 Preece
10 E. Goodale

1:17
LAP 7 - Santos clears second while Silk just cut of Szegedy battling for third.
1:16
LAP 6 - Santos and Silk side by side for second through four.
1:16
LAP 6 - Newman picked the outside, forcing Silk to his inside. A lot of tire spinning in the back but Newman easily clears Silk.
1:15
LAP 5 - One to green - Packed grandstands on the frontstretch. McDonald just lost a lap in pits.
1:14
Going to try this today instead of transcribing the running order every handful of laps. Let me know if you can't see this.
1:14
1:13
Bonsignore climbs out okay.
1:13
McDonald drove away, with the bumper askew and pulled out.
1:12
That is a HEARTBREAKER for Bonsignore. If you joined us late today, Bonsignore lost an engine Thursday, drove home to Riverhead, took their motor from their local modified, and only will get two laps today it appears.
1:11
LAP 2 - CAUTION - Bonsignore and McDonald crash. Turn two. Richie Pallai also pulled away from the scene with some damage.
1:11
LAP 2 - The top seven cars single file, freight training.
1:10
LAP 1 - Newman picked the high line on the start and gets the run clear out of two.
1:10
GREEN FLAG - Lap 1 - The media center shakes as the cars go by.
1:09
One to go.

Its unfortunate not as many of the modified races are being broadcast on SPEED as they were the past few years. Always great racing...especially here at New Hampshire. I remember watching the race a few years ago when Silk moved The Reg out of the way on the last lap. Need more mod races on SPEED!!!

I'll be up in the stands watching this one. Some of the TNT/NASCAR.com guys haven't seen a Mod race. I'll be introducing them to the best racing around. My Prediction: Ted Christopher. Ryan Newman is the favorite but I don't think he'll make though the race un-contested. Praying for a great, safe, competitive day at beautiful NHMS. Have a great broadcast boys and thanks for the coverage.

11:20
Comment From Matthew Dillner

Looks iike the clutch problems Bobby Santos had are all figured out. They changed the clutch on Thursday during practice and had to work on it away from the track on the off day (Friday).

11:18
Phil Kurze from Whelen couldn't make it to the race today. A huge Motorsports fan Kurze left a message for the guys to beat Ryan during the drivers meeting

Can anyone beat "Terrible Teddy" today at New Hampshire?
10:40
The next thing for these drivers will be a mandatory autograph session on the Midway. Yesterday, Robert Johnson III was penalized for missing it during the KNPSE race, so obviously mandatory means mandatory.
10:39
100-year old Rachel Gilbert will be today's grand marshall.
10:31
Unapproved tire changes will be two laps per tire today. Teams have two extra tires than those they start with.
10:27
Newman just and do I mean just arrived for attendance. Petree is here as well
10:26
NHMS president Jerry Gappens just told the drivers this is Bruton Smith's favorite race of the weekend and will be watching from the suite

What's the practice chart look like ??

9:46
Couldn't find Petree's car in the garage, but two drivers told me it was pretty torn up on the right front suspension.
9:41
One driver who saw the Petree's crash confirms Hirschman was responsible. Says the three was just trying to draft the five and just hooked the rear bar
9:34
Rob Fuller is also done for the day. The team lost a motor
9:28

9:14
One team is reporting that Petree got a little help from the 3 car of Matt Hirschman. He caught the left rear as dove low going down to turn one.

We are yellow again as Andy Petree looks to have gotten a piece of the wall.
