Next up here at Greenville Pickens Speedway will be qualifying for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East cars at 5:00pm ET.
4:48
We made a trip through the pits and talked to several drivers who are ready to get rolling with tonight's feature event.

With the fastest car in final practice, Coleman Pressley likes his car, but he's mostly just excited to be here and thankful for the opportunity he's been given with X Team Racing.

Fastest in first practice, Brett Moffitt is also happy with his vehicle and is confident he's got the car to sit on the pole.

Max Gresham says he would like his car to be as good as it was in this race last year before he was unfortunately caught up in a wreck but he is happy with the car he's got today and thinks they'll be good by the end of the race.

Matt DiBenedetto shares the same sentiments as Coleman Pressley about his opportunity X Team Racing and is more than confident that he's going to have just what he needs in tonight's race.

Sergio Pena and his team struggled at bit when practice first began but they feel now that they've got the car just where they'd like it for qualifying as well as tonight's race.

Veteran NASCAR Crew Chief David Ifft's son Gary is the crew chief on Conley's efforts this season.

How about some practice times?

1:20
Ryan Gifford, Alex Bowman, Ali Kern, and Michelle Theriault are now among the cars on the track.
1:19
Another change that occured in the off season was the switch by Brett Moffitt from the Joe Gibbs Racing #20 to the back-to-back series champion Michael Waltrip Racing #00. The seat of the #00 was vacated by Ryan Truex who has now moved up to the Nationwide Series. Max Gresham has moved from his #18 Joe Gibbs Racing team to Moffitt's vacated #20 team, but retained his familiar #18.
1:16
Six of the top-10 finishers in 2010 series points have returned full time in 2011. Those drivers include Brett Moffitt, Darrell Wallace Jr, Eddie MacDonald, DJ Shaw, Max Gresham, and Ryan Gifford.
1:14
In the off season following the conclusion of the 2010 series schedule, NASCAR lowered the minimum age limit for its touring series to 15 years of age. The first driver to take advantage of that is Chase Elliott, son of 1988 Cup Series Champion and 16-time Most Popular Driver, Bill Elliott.
1:11
Michael Cherry, Sergio Pena, Chad Boat, Brett Moffitt and Zach Germain are now among the cars on the track.
1:10
Cale Conley pulled away on his own and made his way to the pits. Practice has resumed under green flag conditions.
1:09
The series has been opening its season here at Greenville Pickens since 2006 and has returned every year since. Each trip to GPS has produced a different winner.
1:06
Caution is out as the #27 of Cale Conley has spun in turns three and four.
1:05
There are only five former series winners in today's field - Matt DiBenedetto, Brett Moffitt, Darrell Wallace Jr, Max Gresham and Eddie MacDonald.
1:04
While the field cycles through their 45 minute practice session we've got a few notes on the stats and history of the East Series.
1:03

12:52
The cars have lined up in turns one and two ready to take their turns out on the track in this first round of practice.
12:42
There is a lot of history here at GPS and what makes it unique is that the names of all the former champions are painted on the walls through the turns and along the back straightaway.
12:40
Everyone is unloaded and enjoying the sunshine here at Greenville Pickens Speedway today.

After a tour through the pits and the driver's meeting we've got several notes for you.

- After going through tech this morning, many driver's with composite bodies have had to make adjustments due to a few measurement rule changes.

- Tonight's 150-lap event will be a four tire race. Teams will start the race on the four tires they qualify on and will not be allowed to swap the tires either.

- On restarts, once the green flag is displayed the leader must be the first car across the start finish line. No car will be able to pass before the line.

- As is standard NASCAR procedure, there will be no racing back to the caution when the yellow flag flies and there will be a green, white, checkered finish if the caution should fall within three laps of the end of the race.

10:40
