We had quite a wild finish here at Gresham Motorsports Park tonight. Ty Dillon scored his first career K&N Pro Series East win. After the race Kevin Swindell had a few words with Ryan Gifford about the late race activities. Swindell led most of the night only to lose the lead and a side-by-side battle with Truex and the outside wall. Gifford was upset as was Truex, and Swindell we’ll have much more next week on Speed51.com. goodnight.

Good luck to 17 yr old Iowan Joey gase in the Jeff Spraker 37.. go get Joey !!

12:37
One driver who will have a lot of pressure on him today is Max Gresham. His family owns and did all the renovations here at GMP to change it from ‘just another track’ to the premier short track facility in the southeast. Max has seen this place through all the transitions, but he still has never won here. Today would a great day to do it in front of the hometown crowd.

Comment From Guest

I hope to make it there this afternoon. Saw the series in greenville and do not have to drive as far this time. Glad that they have finally come to Georgia. Go Brandon Haley. I think he is also the only Ford in the field if I am correct.

11:19
We are 20 minutes into practice and Cole Whitt is on top of the speed charts.
11:18
As we said on Speed 51 radio on Tuesday night this is the first NASCAR event at Gresham since July 21st 1993 when Bill Bigley Jr. won a NASCAR All Pro Series race here. Most of the drivers in the field have never been to this place for anything more than practice. It should make things interesting for tonight’s race.
