YELLOW FLAG Lap 10: After returning to the track from getting his left-front repaired, Dakota Ractliff was tagged by Billy Gregg.  Ratcliff went up the track and into the turn one wall.

 

Ratcliff climbed from his car, took his gloves off in a haste and showed his displeasure towards Gregg when Gregg passed by.  Gregg’s car has significant body damage and the driver has pulled it into the pits. Ratcliff will need a tow back to the pits.

Dawsonville, Georgia’s Spencer Davis will make his fifth start of his career here at Bowman Gray tonight.  Since teaming up wiith Westfield, North Carolina’s Hillbilly Racing earlier this year, the Late Model standout has been steadily improving behind the wheel of a Modified.  He had several strong runs during February Speedweeks at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida and has a few top-five runs in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour and the KOMA Unwind Modified Madness Tour.

Davis calls Bowman Gray “a lot of fun” and has been getting acclimated to the track in advance of the NWSMT race here later in the season.

Burt Myers and Junior Miller were both victorious in the twin-features here at Bowman Gray Stadium last Saturday.  Burt Myers claimed a bittersweet win in the first feature.  After battling side-by-side with his brother, Jason Myers at the beginning of the race, contact between the siblings sent Jason spinning into the infield.  Meanwhile, the “Madhouse Scrambler” gave Junior Miller the pole position at the start of the second of the twin-features.  Miller held onto his lead throughout the entire 25-lap race, claiming that it was the easiest race he has run in a long time.

Tonight’s racing action is just the start of a busy racing weekend here at the “Madhouse.”  In addition to our four-division show here tonight, the Modifieds will be a part of the NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 evening with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.

Tomorrow night’s action gets underway with K&N Pro Series East practice at 1:30pm.  It’s Ladies Night here at BGS as well, meaning adult men get in for just $8 and ladies are just $2.  Another packed house is expected tomorrow night.
