Tommy Lemons Jr. did not run the Hamlin race as he had Ryan Preece in his car for that event. He was pleased with Ryan's performance and hopes to work with him again. Lemons said the Hamlin race is a whole different animal. Hard to think both him and Pulliam sat out the race, but they will have plenty of chances to win this season including tonight.
5:19
Winners this season at SoBo include: Sellers with two wins, Thaxton, Oakley and Pulliam. Bowling also won the Hamlin race which did not count for points.

GOOD LUCK TO LEE PULLIAM AND 5 TEAM

5:15
The drivers meeting was clam other than that Fords will be allowed a 650 carburetor and a one inch spacer. That's not all they will also get a weight brake all starting next week. Several drivers like C.E. Falk were not pleased with the rule.

Teams get on their sticker tires for tonight. (Speed51.com photo)
4:58
The tire rule for tonight's race is that drivers will have to run at least half the race to run that set in the second race. If they don't they might have to run scuffs on the right side to avoid a major advantage.
4:50
We have heard the Flathead class has been scratched form the racing card tonight.
