Josh Hamner is here today.  He started the season running for Stanley Smith in the number 49 Super Late Model.  After several less than stellar performances and a fleet of torn up race cars, the two parted ways.  Hamner has driven a few races at Montgomery Motor Speedway and South Alabama Speedway for his family owned race team.  Also, Hamner has lended his talents to other drivers, namly Justin South and Bobby Knox Jr., helping them with their programs.  Tonight’s race marks the first start for Hamner at Mobile in his family owned car this season.

Comment From Robert Steele

Great to see Josh Hamner entered & back behind the wheel of his own car.

Tonight’s race is 150 laps.  At lap 75 there will be a break.  Teams will stop on the front stretch pit area for 10 minutes.  At that time, teams may change two tires.  Caution flag laps will count all the way up to 10 to go.  There will be 10 green flag laps to finish the race.  That said, teams can loose a lap in the pits durning a caution period.  In addition to a ton of sponsor bonuses, including $500.00 for leading at halfway, teams are running to claim a championship belt custom made for this race.
