It’s an unprecedented triple-header of Super Late Model action North of the Border in 2013…the Autobus La Quebecois Triple Crown at the Autodrome Chaudiere in Valley Junction, Quebec in 2013. The Autobus La Quebecois Triple Crown will pit the best Super Late Model drivers from across North America in a series of three events with a purse totaling $135,000. And, as an added bonus, drivers who compete in all three Triple Crown events will vie for their share of a bonus points fund totaling $30,000. Round 1 will be a 150 lapper on May 18, 2013 and will double as the Autodrome Chaudiere season opener. Round 2 will be staged on August 6, 2013 and will feature NASCAR star Kyle Busch competing at Chaudiere. The final round will be a 200 lap race on September 7, 2013. It will be pay $10,000 to win and will pay $100 per lap to the race leader, a total of $20,000 in guaranteed lap leader money.

Alabama’s Mobile International Speedway and Montgomery Motor Speedway, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway, Georgia’s Gresham Motorsports Park and Tennessee’s Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville make up the facilities that some of the best Super Late Model racers will compete on with the series this coming year.

This weekend’s race is the first of five shows here at GMP this season. There will be two Pro Late Model and three Super Late Model events. The big one with be run on Thursday, July 4th as 30th Annual World Crown 300 will take place with $20,000 going to the winner and a huge fireworks show for the fans.

Grindle was strong at SpeedFest at Watermelon Capital a few weeks back.  He led several lap before being sidelined with mechanical problems.

1:00 pm: Safety Inspection for Outlaw, Truck, Sportsman/Renegade, Mini Stock Divisions that Choose to Practice on Friday
2:45 pm: Driver’s Meeting for all Divisions
3:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Rotating Practice (PLM – 30 mins, OLM – 10 mins, TR – 10 mins, Spmn/Ren – 10 mins, MS – 10 mins)
5:00 pm: Pro Late Model Qualifying Tire Selection (4 tires – based on order of entries received)
7:30 pm: Track Closes

Today is Practice Day here at Gresham. Pro Late Models and more divisions will have rotating practice rounds from 3pm to 7pm. The 198-lap PLM feature will take place tomorrow.
