Trust us folks, as soon as we’re able to post a finish, we will.  We want to head to the house with a finish in hand, just as badly as you want to see one before shutting down your computers for the night.  We’re at the discretion of the officials to provide a finish.

1.  Tim Brown
2.  Jonathan Brown
3.  Johnny Sutton
4.  Jason Myers

9:07
Officials are sorting out the finish in the infield.  What they’re discussing is the part of the series rulebook that indicates that no fuel can be added at any point in the race.  There is no penalty specified if a driver does add fuel, however.  There were several cars that added fuel when they ran out, so officials are talking over how, if at all, the finish will change.
9:01
Officials are discussing the Modified finish.
9:01
Brown admitted to Speed51.com that he had been fighting a stomach bug for the past two days, which led to him being very weak and worn out in victory lane.

6:56
Cleanup crews are searching the track surface for the fallen-off transponder.
6:56

6:33
If a driver makes a pit stop before the pits open, it does not constitute a legal pit stop.

The cone, which is actually a giant inflated KOMA Unwind relaxation drink can, is now out.
5:53
Restart waved off for the track official to get back to the cone position.
5:52
One lap to green.  This will be a single-file restart because the cone operator has snuck away from his perch.
5:51
YELLOW FLAG Lap 4: Craig West goes around by himself in turn four.  West had been running fifth, but will lose that spot with the spin.
5:50
GREEN FLAG: Hall scoots away for an early lead with Holleman in tow.
5:50
All races today will have double-file cone restarts.  With two laps to green under caution, a cone will be placed at the start finish line.  As each car reaches the cone, the driver must choose whether to start on the inside lane or outside lane.

Unofficially, there are 17 KOMA Modifieds on hand today and five Sportsman cars, which use the same rules as the Sportsman division at Winston-Salem, North Carolina’s Bowman Gray Stadium.  In fact, the entry blank referred to the Sportsman division as “BGS Sportsman.”
12:27
It’s picture-perfect weather-wise today here at Ace Speedway.  Temperatures are in the upper 80s and will climb into the low 90s, but there are plenty of fair-weather clouds overhead to keep the sun from making it uncomfortably hot with a slight breeze as well.

Tickets can be purchased at the front gate here at the track for a great deal.

Adults are just $12, but a car load of fans can get into the gates for just $25 today.
