Jon McKennedy is currently first on the speed chart with just a few minutes left in the first ISMA practice session. McKennedy turned a blistering lap of 11.505 seconds around the 1/4-mile oval. The All-American 400 is one of the most prestigious short track events in the country and it’s back in 2013 even bigger and better than before. Set for November 1 and 2 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Tennessee, the AA400 will be a return to glory for the event that has seen the biggest names in the sport go to its victory lane. Butch Lindley, Bob Senneker, Rusty Wallace, Darrell Waltrip, Butch Miller, Jeff Purvis, Bobby Gill, Freddie Query, Wayne Anderson and Mike Garvey have all etched their name onto the All-American 400 record books over the years. ISMA officials tell us that it was Chris Perley driving the two-seat modified that crashed over turn one. The passenger was ISMA race director Rob Rodier. Both just walked down the frontstretch waving to the fans already here.

We have a correction to make from the roster posted earlier. Lou Levea Sr. will be in the No. 96 car today. Dan Lane will drive the No. 97 and Justin Belfiore will be in the No. 98.

While giving fan rides in the two-seat modified, the car just spun going into turn one and went over the banking into the trees over the turn. Both the driver and passenger are out of the car and appear to be OK. Safety crews are cleaning up the scene and attempting to get the car back to the pit area.
