Doug Moff’s no. 46 car ignited as he entered turn three at the end of the second Modified practice. His car was engulfed in flames as he pulled it into the pit area just inside turn four. Safety crews quickly got to the car and extinguished the fire. Track officials said Moff is okay.

A number of cars have already been through technical inspection already today and more are lining up to go through before practice. Ricky Brooks will be the man in charge in the tech area this weekend.

51 TV is unable to provide a live video broadcast of this weekend’s Florida Governor’s Cup event due to previous contractual obligations with all parties involved.

Agreements are in place between 51 TV and New Smyrna Speedway for the broadcasting of future events. 51 and the track hope to have announcements on those events in the coming weeks.
