NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour driver Andy Seuss shook down Tommy Neal’s No. 21 ride earlier in the day. Neal, a graduate of Bowman Gray’s fendered divisions, has had a hard time finding the handle on his car, so Eddie Harvey, the owner of Seuss’ Tour ride and crew member on Neal’s efforts, called in Seuss to help get the car better for Neal. Neal reported after this most recent practice session that the changes have helped the car’s tight condition and there are hopes for a strong run in tonight’s 100-lapper.

Earlier today, Speed51.com learned that three-time NASCAR Southeast Series Champion and winner in a multitude of full-fendered divisions Jeff Fultz would be getting back behind the wheel of a Modified starting with today’s and tomorrow’s events here at BGS. Fultz is here in Michael Speeney’s No. 80 car that now runs out of the same shop as Tim Brown’s No. 83 ride.

Tonight will set the stage for tomorrow’s NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and a 100-lap feature for the NWAAS Modifieds. Those are the only two divisions competing here tomorrow.

5:24

While Bowman Gray typically runs Saturday night events, today will see all of their local divisions in action. The Modifieds are the headline division and there will also be twin 20-lap Sportsman features along with Street Stock and Stadium Stock feature races.
