Teams must run 49 laps int he first race to run the second. If they have a mechanical problem they can check with officials to try and run the second. However, if they don't run enough laps they will be forced to use scuff tires.

Dillon Bassett is one of the cars here today as he was the 2013 UARA Series champion. That Series is taking a year off to deal with family emergency issues among the owners and it leaves Bassett without a place to race. We should expect to see him at the bigger Late Model Stock events here at Southern National and at Hickory Motor Speedway. Perhaps there will be more later on.

Today Lee Pulliam starts his quest for a third NASCAR Whelen All American Series National Championship. After a dominating year in 2013 Pulliam will look to win a third title in a row which has never been done. It is the number one Outlaw Super Late Model event in the nation! The Kalamazoo Klash XXII will take place on Wednesday, August 13 at the Kalamazoo Speedway in Kalamazoo, MI.
