Today’s Speed51.com Trackside Now coverage was presented by Ultra Cool Brake Fans.

Ultra Cool Brake Fans is a new innovative product that is designed to help racers in brake heat disbursement. Their product has been race tested and has proven to keep brakes cooler on the track. The brake fans fit securely within the wheel and are less likely to damage during on-track action. This is the only product on the market that cools the wheel side of the caliper. It pumps more CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) than conventional brake blowers. It weighs less than conventional brake ducts and blowers. The unique design allows the racer to double stack fans for added airflow and they make rotors and brake pads last longer. For more information and to order, please visit www.ultracoolbrakefans.com or call them at 720-690-7878.

Caution laps will count up until the Lap 99 break. The final 45 laps will be all green. CRA Officials have designated Lap 99 instead of Lap 100 as the break in honor of the late Dick Trickle.

Teams will be allowed to change 2 tires only during the Lap 99 break as well as fuel up and make any other adjustments during the 10 minute break. The first half of the field still running at the break will pit first along the backstretch and as soon as they’re done, the back half of the field will then go to their pit along the backstretch due to the logistics of the facility.

No “Free Pass” will be awarded to the first car a lap or more down within the last 10 laps of the Race nor can it be given to a driver if they are the cause of the Caution Flag at any time.

9:08
All teams on the grounds today will receive a minimum of 80 points towards the chase for the 2013 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Championship.

Today’s Speed51.com Trackside Now coverage is presented by Ultra Cool Brake Fans.

Dozens of racecars. Two tracks. Two nights. Three championships on the line. That’s the story by the numbers for the first of four Gulf Coast Super Late Model weekends of the 2013 season. It all starts with the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco event at Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway on May 24. The Southern Super Series 125 presented by Crane Cams at Five Flags will also be a points event for the track’s Blizzard Series and the hotly-contested Gulf Coast Championship. Then on Saturday, May 25, the top names in the Super Late Model scene will move about an hour across Interstate 10 to Alabama’s Mobile International Speedway for the second half of the Southern Super Series doubleheader. The Mobile event, the Southern Super Series 125 presented by VDL Fuel Systems, will also count for the track’s Super Late Model title and the Gulf Coast Championship. Good Luck Ross Kenseth from your biggest fan.

After originally planning on having Mark Downey pilot the #25 this season, Brent Downey is going to race the machine all season after all for his Father, the Owner of Downey Racing who had previously planned on running for the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title at 62 years old.

5:05
Chad Finley told us the bottom is not the place to be. The cooler weather could aid the back half of the field, but Finley goes out 12th.

5:04
Landon Cling said they have struggled a bit today, and he was looking forward to Springport before the rain. Look for big things from him today and this season with Scott Neal racing.

Today’s Speed51.com Trackside Now coverage is presented by Ultra Cool Brake Fans.

Today’s Speed51.com Trackside Now coverage is presented by Ultra Cool Brake Fans.

Today’s Speed51.com Trackside Now coverage is presented by Ultra Cool Brake Fans.
