Due to it Tyler Rypkema ended up on the hook further back in the field and therefore he decided to penalize both front row starters.

RoC Drivers Meeting notes:
- Oswego track official mentioned that if you wreck on the outside of the track, please wait with your car until track crew arrives.

- $18,832 has been raised for the Race of Champions 200 weekend in two weeks.

- One contingency will be $2,000 from Tommy Baldwin which will be awarded to a driver who starts in the top 12 but elects to start from the back and win.

- Change in Race of Champions schedule. First practice will be Saturday morning rather than Friday night in order to conserve costs.

- Three heats tonight, 10 laps each. Top 4 go to the scale and redraw for their starting position.

- Six tires issued to teams, can only change one tire during the
100 green flag lap distance.

- Andrew Harpell stressed that this is an active pit area. Told drivers to communicate with their team and family to be alert.

- US Open is good to go in two weeks thanks to Bill Catania's involvement. The Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak memorial will be extended from 100 to 125 laps and will have a slightly bigger purse. Six tires can be used for that race.
