The Triple Crown Challenge Series includes four races in 2013 all taking place on Sunday afternoons. We checked in with Derrick Griffin, who got the call last night to take over Joe Beaver’s No. 21 car. Beaver’s wife was brought to the hospital yesterday with pneumonia. Beaver gave Griffin, the 21-year old 2011 CRA Champion, a call last night to drive his car. Beaver’s wife is doing better today, according to Griffin, which is the best news of all. Griffin told 51 that he only changes made to the car for him were an adjustment to the steering column and some seat adjustments.
