Enfinger did a great job with the news tires by blocking the last 30 laps to score a win at The Rattler. We asked him about that today and he said the only way that worked was becasue of the new tire.

Comment From Guest

Enfinger will block the whole race.

6:24
It’s so hard to pick a winner here tonight, we look at a few of the key players. Just our luck tonight’s winner will make us eat our lack of words.

Is tonight the night for Donnie Wilson? After two third in the Blizzard Series last year, a runner-up in the Snowball Derby, and a second in the Rattler means he is due.

Maybe Bubba Pollard will end his string of second-place finishes and score a win tonight, it would be his first of 2011.

Grant Enfinger comes in on a hot streak after having won The Rattler. Enfinger is a former Blizzard winner here at Five Flags Speedway (FL).

Josh Hamner is in a slump of bad luck, three years ago he won the first race of the Blizzard Series and took the Championship.

She’s the hometown girl and her last start here was her biggest win. Tonight Johanna Long will be introduced as the defending Snowball Derby Champion, can she win again tonight?

TJ Reaid has been running well all season, but the finishes have not come with the performance. Tonight Reaid has been quick, can he seal the deal?

Mike Garvey had the best car hands down here last year in the 100 Allen Turner Tune-Up. This is the first time the Super Late Models will go 100 laps on the same set of tires, he could be there at the end again.

6:19
Local Division teams are cycling through their practice sessions. Tonight is also the season opener for the local points championships.

Tim Bryant held this season’s first Driver’s Meeting of 2011 at 5FS shortly after 3:45 PM unveiling his “Fast Motion” race procedure format.

The Pepsi Max 100 will kick of the night’s racing action, being held ahead of the local division races. Bryant said this is in an effort to provide teams time to work on their cars after the race in preparation for tomorrow night’s Mobile International Speedway season opener.

Scott Carlson will be in the car for one night from what he told us in the tech line. Brandon was not feeling good so Scott has taken out the old suit for the 100 lapper tonight. Carlson has two Blizzard Series titles and has won six times in the Blizzard Series.

Scott Carlson and Augie Grill each have six career Blizzard Series wins. Tonight Grill could pass him with a victory. As of right now Augie Grill’s rig has not shown up here at Five Flags Speedway, but that’s normal for the 112 who tends to be the last one in and some times the first one to the line after 100 laps.

One thing that has always been a part of Five Flags Speedway is the tech line. Ricky Brooks has spent years drawing the line for drivers to even out the fields for better racing. Now it’s gone to the merchandise level.
