A lot of folks are asking about DJ VanderLey’s suspension. We reported earlier this week on our Phantom Quick News that his suspension had been lifted.
From earlier this week on Speed51.com:D.J. VanderLey, suspended for the regular season at Five Flags Speedway (FL) after an altercation with another driver on April 27th, has had  his eligibility competely reinstated beginning with this Friday’s Coors Light 100 Blizzard Series.  VanderLey has missed two races in the Blizzard Series at Five Flags and two races in the Miller Lite Series at Mobile, which in essence was a four ace suspension in the Sunoco Gulf Coast Championship Series.

“Officials from both tracks re-opened discussions last  week on the length of the suspension,” said 5 Flags General Manager Tim Bryant.  “Everyone agreed the severity of the infraction called for just punishment, and we feel like it was levied.  We wanted to issue a statement to all drivers about controlling their emotions and we hope we have done that.  We have elected to let D.J. return to racing, under probation.  We are confident he has learned from this series of events and fully expect him to exemplify the professionalism of which he is capable.”
