The starting order for the race was determined by qualifying earlier this week here at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Kristen Yeley, the wife of NASCAR racer JJ Yeley, was quickest and will start on the outside pole.

Why the outside pole? Fans determined the pole sitter for tonight’s race by whichever driver got the most donations on the MRO website, www.go2mro.com. Ashton Bayne, the wife of Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne, got the most donations and therefore will start P1 tonight.

2:24
The Better Half Dash drivers have had several pre-race practice sessions over the past few weeks.   Several were delayed by rain, but there was plenty of track time and simulated races for all the drivers to get acclimated to their cars and the quarter-mile racing surface that they will be competing on tonight.
