To answer BigBlockBob’s question a little more thoroughly…if you looked underneath the nose of some Outlaw Super Lates, there is an air box built that sucks air from underneath the car directly into the radiator. Allowing teams to block off the old grills and achieve more front end downforce. Very effective!

Set for November 1 and 2 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Tennessee, the AA400 will be a return to glory for the event that has seen the biggest names in the sport go to its victory lane. Champion Racing Association (CRA) officials announced in April the JEGS/CRA $100,000 Super Late Model Triple Crown. The three major points events for the ARCA/CRA Super Series, the Berlin 251 at Berlin Raceway, the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway, and the legendary Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway will make up the three events in the challenge for the Crown title.

Any driver who can win all three Triple Crown events will receive a $100,000 bonus. Any driver who wins two Triple Crown events will receive a $10,000 bonus. If no driver wins two of the Triple Crown events, the driver who accumulates the most points during those three events will receive a $5,000 bonus and the title of Champion of the JEGS/CRA $100,00 Super Late Model Triple Crown.

A driver must be present and attempt to make the field in all three of the Triple Crown events to be eligible for any of the bonuses.

The Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 has become one of the top ARCA CRA Super Series events each year. Last year, Ross Kenseth took home his first win on the tough high-banked quarter-mile oval. Last month, TJ Reaid won the ARCA CRA Super Series event at Anderson Speedway and would like to have a Redbud 300 trophy. There will be two nights of racing with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and CRA Late Model Sportsman Series competing on Friday, July 19. The Flip Merwin Memorial is an event in honor of longtime friend of the Wimmer family and a champion snowmobile racer who lost his life in a tragic racing accident.
