Comment From Wyatt

Are McGrath and Oliver ok?

10:16
Appreciate the comment. Tonight I was running from mostly my iPhone and iPad roaming from the tower in the first half and the pits in the second half. At most races we do not have access to the live timing and scoring to give updates on your favorite drivers. Speaking to companies like MYLAPS they are working on creating apps so fans can follow live timing and scoring from any race events.

Comment From LP in WDM

First time following on speed51. I appreciate the ability to follow along as much as possible. Don’t know how you do all of this. Via computer/smart phone in the pits? Not being critical in any way, but any way to improve by somehow gaining acces to live timing with all competitors? Selfishly, I have a nephew driving in this and the ARCA series, and I’m trying to stay on top of how he’s doing without being able to attend all of his races. Again, no real criticism; just trying to keep up with my nephew. Thanks again!

Short track drivers, crew chiefs and team members from across the country will have two opportunities this winter to take their on-track performance to the next level as GRIP Seminars announces events in Columbus, OH, November 2-4, 2012 and Portland, ME, February 15-17, 2013.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural GRIP Seminar, these seminars will offer short track racers the opportunity to sit in on courses covering topics such as setup basics, tires, bump stops, shocks, geometry, spotting, social media and more. By joining the GRIP Contingency Program on Facebook (link below), you can earn free credits to upcoming seminars!

Eighteen courses led by industry experts and insiders are offered with packages available that allow you to pick only the courses you want or a complete “checkered flag” package for all 18 courses.

For more information and to register for a seminar, visit www.gripseminars.com and be sure to “Like” GRIP Seminars on Facebook, www.facebook.com/gripseminars.

Have a need for speed? Well then you’ll find no shortage of it at Michigan’s Kalamazoo Speedway on September 15th. The 2012 edition of the “Call of the Wild” will feature a “Run What Ya Brung” Outlaw Spectacular,” where drivers will try to set an all-time record lap at Kalamazoo. It’s hard to forget Andy Bozell’s wild wing on his Outlaw car that set a blistering lap of 10.020 seconds around Kalamazoo, which set a new 3/8-mile track world record. This year, there is a bonus of at least $999 that will go to a driver who sets a lap in the nine-second bracket. Feature racing for the Outlaw cars, as well as for Outlaw Mini Stocks and Outlaw FWD cars will also thrill the fans on September 15th. For rules and further details, visit www.kalamazoospeedway.com

The JEGS 100 on Saturday, September 15th will see Super Late Model drivers from the Southeast and the Midwest vying for ARCA/CRA Southern series glory.
