The Yellow River Racing Series is a special Super Late Model three-race event held throughout the summer at the half-mile Marshfield Motor Speedway, located in central Wisconsin. The first event will be held on Saturday, May 11 with a 75-lap feature event. A full racing program will start at 6:30pm.

Marshfield Motor Speedway originally opened as a dirt track in 1977 and was changed to an asphalt track in 1996. The wide progressively banked half-mile with sweeping turns will again feature Super Late Model action on Saturday Nights from April through September during the 2013 season. It’s an unprecedented triple-header of Super Late Model action North of the Border in 2013…the Autobus La Quebecois Triple Crown at the Autodrome Chaudiere in Valley Junction, Quebec in 2013. The Autobus La Quebecois Triple Crown will pit the best Super Late Model drivers from across North America in a series of three events with a purse totaling $135,000. And, as an added bonus, drivers who compete in all three Triple Crown events will vie for their share of a bonus points fund totaling $30,000. Round 1 will be a 150 lapper on May 18, 2013 and will double as the Autodrome Chaudiere season opener. Round 2 will be staged on August 6, 2013 and will feature NASCAR star Kyle Busch competing at Chaudiere. The final round will be a 200 lap race on September 7, 2013. It will be pay $10,000 to win and will pay $100 per lap to the race leader, a total of $20,000 in guaranteed lap leader money.

Dozens of racecars. Two tracks. Two nights. Three championships on the line. That’s the story by the numbers for the first of four Gulf Coast Super Late Model weekends of the 2013 season. It all starts with the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco event at Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway on May 24. The Southern Super Series 125 presented by Crane Cams at Five Flags will also be a points event for the track’s Blizzard Series and the hotly-contested Gulf Coast Championship. Then on Saturday, May 25, the top names in the Super Late Model scene will move about an hour across Interstate 10 to Alabama’s Mobile International Speedway for the second half of the Southern Super Series doubleheader. The Hollywood Casino 100 will kick off the ARCA Late Model Gold Cup Series at Ohio’s Toledo Speedway on Friday, May 10th. The Points Standings for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS are based off of the first race of the season, which was the combination event between ARCA/CRA and the ARCA Midwest Tour at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio back on April 20th.

So by default and based on the entries that are here today, Kyle Benjamin is the points leader with 85 while everyone else who is here that was also at Toledo, has 80 markers. Those who are making their first appearance of the season here today, have 0 points.
