That will conclude today’s coverage of ARCA Racing Series practice from Pocono Raceway . We’ll be back tomorrow morning with Trackside Now coverage of qualifying and the Modspace 125.

Thank you for tuning in today and be sure to catch The Identical, which will begin playing in theaters on September 5th.

Justin Allison was second on the speed chart. This is the first time he’s coming back to a track for a second attempt. He led three laps at Pocono in June before a mechanical failure ended his day early. He said “I felt pretty right at home here. It’s a big track but you kind of race it like a short track.”
6:09
Mason Mitchell and his team put in a lot of hours on this car this week. It’s a brand new race car that wasn’t done until midday yesterday. The team didn’t arrive at Pocono until 2 am this morning. “It’s one of our nicest cars we’ve ever put on the race track,” said Mitchell. “I can’t thank my guys enough for putting all the hard work in.”

Today’s Speed51.com Trackside Now coverage is presented by THE IDENTICAL, in theaters on September 5.

THE IDENTICAL tells the compelling story of twin brothers unknowingly separated at birth during the Great Depression. DREXEL HEMSLEY becomes an iconic 50′s rock ‘n’ roll star, while RYAN WADE (Blake Rayne) struggles to balance his love for music and pleasing his father. The Reverend Wade (Ray Liotta) and his wife (Ashley Judd) are sure their adopted son has been gifted and called by God to be a preacher. But Ryan challenges his parent’s vision for his life, and unflinchingly chooses to launch his own music career with his best friend (Seth Green). Encouraged by his wife (Erin Cottrell) and employer (Joe Pantoliano), Ryan embarks on an unpredictable, provocative path – performing the legendary music of Drexel Hemsley in sold out venues all across the country.

As the brothers destinies tragically collide, Ryan discovers that Drexel is his identical twin which leads him to question everything he’s ever believed about God, family and his own identity.

Brennan Poole ended Thursday’s practice session fourth on the speed chart. Poole didn’t get to make his mock qualifying run, as rain began to fall on the race track at the end of practice.

“The car was really good in race runs,” Poole told Speed51.com powered by JEGS. “Unfortunately, we didn’t make a qualifying run because the rain started coming down. It was crazy out there. I was driving down the frontstretch and it started pouring down rain. I cut the engine off and aborted the mock run.”
