While we have the down time we are going to head to the tower to prep for qualifying for the All American 400.

We wanted to clear something up about Dillon Oliver and the 8 car. Oliver is driving for T-1 Racing which is owned by Tony D’Ambrose. They often have Eddie Hoffman behind the wheel at local events back in the Midwest, but it is fact not owned by Hoffman. D’Ambrose is the owner and crew chief on the car.

Stanley Smith withdrew because the car was having lots of trouble. Josh Hamner was testing the Super Late Model and they made the call to pull the Super Motor and put it in the Pro car. The car that is not racing was built in 1994.

This might be ashock to some fans, but Clay Alexander is the man to beat in the Pro Late Model class. Although bad luck always seemed to plague him in the past this season has been nothing short of sensational here at Nashville. Three wins and a second-place finish in four Pro Late Model events have made him the one to watch this weekend.

No Ryan Lawler this weekend?

Daktoa has run several Late Model Series in the Southeast from ASA SAT, to GAS and ASA LM South. With all of them not racing anymore he stick close to home and runs big events. Stroup has run all the big shows here at Nashville this season.

Comment From Dan C.

Dakota Stroup was the talk of the town in Pensacola last weekend as he bought the “white rabbit” number 112 from Augie Grill. The former Super Late Model ride has since been turned into a Pro Late Model for this weekend (mostly engine) and Stroup is ready to go. He said after 10 laps of practice the Grand American Race Car was the best decision he ever made. We’ll see how he does tomorrow in the Pro Late Model show.
12:57
Eddie Hoffman is not racing this weekend, but the two-time All American 400 winner has one of his team cars here with crew and driver Dillon Oliver behind the wheel in the Pro Late Model race.
12:56
Think by the number – Augie Grill has never won the All American 400, but the number 112 went to victory lane with Gary Balough twice in the mid 80’s. Grill hopes to ride on the coat tails of that success to victory this weekend. TJ Reaid has never run Nashville, but the 51 number has four wins in the All American 400, three with Jeff Purvis and once with Brian Hoppe. Perhaps the best number is 8 as Freddie Query and Eddie Hoffman each took the number to victory lane twice. Mark Day will be looking for lucky 8’s as he runs the double this weekend.
