Speed51.com has confirmed with track officials that in addition to the normally schedule events at the 2014 Rattler 250 weekend that 125 lap open-wheel Modified race will take place on Saturday.  The event will pay $2,500 to the winner and $250 to start.  The four tire race will have a competition yellow at lap 75. The 48th Annual Florida Governor’s Cup weekend provides three great days of racing action on the popular half-mile oval in central Florida on October 24-26. The All-American 400 is one of the most prestigious short track events in the country and it’s back in 2013 even bigger and better than before. The 2014 Rattler 250 weekend was announced in the drivers meeting on Saturday at South Alabama Speedway. March 14-15-16 will be the dates for the historic spring time event. The Rattler will again be 250 laps, with the pros going 125 laps on Saturday night.
