5:16

It’s a strategy of sorts, if they only changed two they will start in front of those who took four or if they took none they will be garunteed to start at the front of the pack after the break. Chase Elliott has decided to take 0 tires, a risky move but it could pay off.

Why would they not change all four tires???

Speed 51 just caught up with SLM driver Mason Mingus, who was unable to practice or qualify his own car yesterday due to being at a wrestling tournament. Mingus won all three of his individual matches, and he and his team have advanced to the state tournament. His crew chief, Chuck Barnes Jr., qualified the car for Mingus yesterday, which means Mingus will have to start 20th. He knows he has a long way to go to the fron and will have to be patient, but he is confident in the car and his team. He hopes to get a good finish tonight to complete his weekend of domination.

11:28

The Pro Late Model driver meeting has just concluded. Nothing out of the ordinary was announced. The race will count only green flag laps and will have a break after lap 100 is completed. It will be 5 minutes long and teams will be permitted to change 2 tires. Starts and restarts will take place at the stripe in turn 4. After the meeting, drivers were told to get their race tires and head to the tech line.
