There’s already been a shake up in what was already a tight points battle between three-time CRA Super Series Champion and points leader coming into the weekend, Scott Hantz, and soon to be crowned 2011 Rookie of the Year, 19-year-old Derrick Griffin.Starting the weekend, seven (7) points behind Hantz, Griffin won the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Award yesterday for the 40th Annual Winchester 400, which gave him 10 points for qualifying.

Hantz Qualified eighth and received zero points, giving Griffin a three point advantage at the start of the Winchester 400 Today!

Later on this morning during the EDCO Welding CRA Street Stocks Series Feature, our dedicated fans of our “Trackside Now” coverage will be able to take part in TWO (2) Best Appearing Car” Contest for the 40th annual Winchester 400.Speed51.com has partnered up with Speed Media, of Grand Rapids, Michigan for the Best Appearing Car Award tomorrow as well as many other short track events this season. Speed Media is the leader in racecar graphics not just in the Midwest, but throughout the country. Today is the day everyone has been waiting for, the 40th annual Winchester 400 for the CRA Super Series.As an added bonus, and due to electrical issues last night here at the track, the 2011 Championships for the EDCO Welding CRA Street Stock Series will be resumed at 10:00a.m., this morning.

Last night with 1 lap completed and 49 laps to go, the front stretch lights went out forcing CRA and Winchester Officials to postpone the race until this morning.

Admission to this race is absolutely FREE for fans in the grandstands.
