Chris Dilbeck withdrew from qualifying here today. Willie Allen is experiencing rear end issues and will not attempt to qualifying either. Since both Dilbeck and Allen practiced today, they will be eligible to race Sunday if they get their problems fixed.

7:06

We’re hearing that they are pushing the qualifying ceremonies back to approximately 7:25 p.m.

6:57

We’re just a few minutes away from qualifying for the World Crown 300 here at GMP.

6:55

No radio tonight, just trackside. We’ll be live tomorrow and Sunday nights though.

6:55

Comment From Augie Grille Fan

Anywhere we can hear audio of 2nights qualifying (Race Talk Radio ) ??

6:31

We ran into Ross Kenseth to get his thoughts before qualifying. Ross was busy texting his dad Matt and told us he’s happy so far with his experience at Gresham. It’s his first time at this track.

6:28

Jimmy Garmon dosen’t think he’s going to be the man to set fast time. However, he says his car is good enough to be top eight.

6:23

Bubba Pollards prediction for fast time tonight is a 15.9. Pollard thinks the track record will be shattered in the coming hour. However, he’s not sure who’s going to be the driver to do it.

6:19

We caught up with Justin Wakefield to see what his thoughts are going into qualifying. He said a top ten qualifying run would be nice, but hes satisfied with just making the race.

6:03

Comment From Stormy

Ross Kenseth looking good so far. Good luck to him from us here in Wi

6:00

Comment From Thomas Mcmullen

just watched the youtube video, looks great up there, wish i was there

5:58

Wayne isn’t present here at GMP, but we expect to see him at the Governor’s Cup next weekend.

5:58

Comment From oldtimer

I thought Wayne Anderson was going to run? I assume he didn’t make the scene.

5:57

Lonnie isn’t on the entry list right now, but we wouldn’t rule him making an appearance out.

5:57

Comment From Martimer

Great to see Lonnie Sommerville representing down there. Do you folks have any Tim Horton’s that far south?

5:53

Fans don’t forget to bring your scanners when you head to the track on Saturday and Sunday. Speed51 will be broadcasting live on RaceTalkRadio.com. You can listen to the live feed at the track on 454.0000. We will coverage of both the Pro Late Model 125 and the World Crown 300 on the scanner feed.

5:40

Comment From Chris

GO Lonnie GO we’ll be following from Canada! EH!

5:36

Comment From toppert

5:32

They take 30 from the time trials. There are currently 28 on the ground. Randy Gentry has motor issues and has gone home to make repairs. We assume that he will return and start at the back of the field if he gets the motor he needs.

5:32

Comment From Guest

how many do they take from time?

5:29

7 p.m. is when the Opening Ceremonies are scheduled to start.

5:29

Comment From elliott fan

what time do you think SLM qualifing will get started?

5:14

We’ve returned from our dinner break and we noticed that the cool Georgia Autumn air has settled over the track. The question isn’t if the the track record will fall, but how many people will knock it down?

4:25

Check out some video action from today’s Late Model practice session. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKkCpw3Z4Q0

4:21

Local cars are on the track for qualifying. We’re gonna take this time to eat before the rest of tonight’s events.

The pits have been very busy today here at GMP. (51 Photo)

2:58

Comment From Guest

What happened to Randy Gentry. Have not seen him on the time charts

2:56

Fleeman and team said that SLM is more off than the PLM. They are working more on the SLM to get it closer since they feel like the PLM is already close.

The difference between the Pro Late Models and Super Late Models is the motor package. Pro Late Models are all powered by crate engines. Berryhill has elected to run the same crate motor against the Super Late Models. However, he will be at a serious disadvantage in doing so.

1:54

whats the difference between the pro and super late models if Tanner Berryhill can run both races with the same car?

Boris Jurkovic is in a KBM car that Kyle won at SpeedFest with. Jurkovic joked with the Speed51 staff that Kyle Busch is his hero and that’s why he bought the car. Haha.

1:45

DJ Vanderlay had taken the top spot from Willie Allen with at 16.636. He is currently the only driver to run in the 16-second bracket during this practice session. Vanderlay is followed by Willie Allen, Augie Grill, TJ Reaid and Kenzie Ruston.

1:34

The Pro Late Models are out on the track and the No. 93 of Kyle Sirizzotti has gone to the top of the chart with a 17.025-second lap.

Looks like they’ve displayed the red flag ending the first round of Super Late Model Practice. Now we’re on to the Pro Late Model session.

1:28

Josh Hamner, Bubba Pollard, Lonnie Sommerville, Ross Kenseth and TJ Reaid are still your top five in the Super Late Model practice session here at GMP.

1:25

Ross Kenseth says this place is a lot like Madision [Wisconsin]. He’s been getting around here really well and is at the top of the charts in the Super Late Models in his first trip to GMP.

1:23

Lonnie Sommerville has moved into the top five, securing the third quickest time around the track for the moment. The top five are: Josh Hamner, Bubba Pollard, Lonnie Sommerville, Ross Kenseth and TJ Reaid.

1:18

We just checked with the staff here at GMP and right now we have 28 Super Late Models and 35 Pro Late Models.

1:16

The Super Late Model track record at GMP is 16.169 seconds set by Augie Grill on March 13, 2010. The Pro Late Model record of 16.485 was set by Casey Roderick on April 17, 2010 here at GMP.

1:16

Comment From Guest

What’s the track record there?

1:15

Bubba Pollard has moved into the second spot, just 0.012 off Josh Hamner’s top lap of 16.530 seconds.

whats augie’s paint scheme on the house car?

1:12

Josh Hamner, Ross Kenseth, TJ Reaid, Justin Wakefield and Casey Roderick are your top five at the moment. Hamner’s lap of 16.530 seconds has yet to be beat.

1:10

Augie Grill, Paul Kelley and Lonnie Sommerville have just pulled onto the track for this afternoon’s practice session.

1:08

Allen Karnes is focusing on his Super Late Model. His Pro Late Model has been sitting idle on pit road for over an hour.

1:07

Tanner Berryhill is doing double duty this weekend in the same exact race car. He is the only driver here attempting to do this. Despite being fastest in Pro Late Model practice with a time of 16.766 seconds, he only cracks the top fifteen when compared to the Super Late Models. Berryhill stated “We are just down on power compared to the Super’s. In the race, once their tires wear off we will start to move forward. It would be pretty awesome if somebody could win both races with the same car, but it’s going to be extremely difficult.”

1:07

TJ Reaid has moved into the third position with a lap of 16.602.

1:06

Right now, the top five are: Josh Hamner, Ross Kenseth, Justin Wakefield, Casey Roderick and Willie Allen.

1:05

The No. 98W of Justin Wakefield is all sorts of loose in Turn 4.

1:03

The No. 49 of Josh Hamner is the first car out on the track.

1:02

Super Late Models are being called to the stop-and-go. We should be going green for this session in a minute or so.

12:15

We are taking a break for Lunch just like the rest of the track. Be back soon.

10:01

Jeff Fultz will be the first car on the track.

Tech line is empty as we get ready to roll into practice. This is a good start to Friday’s activity.
