And with THAT little nugget, that will do it for Trackside Now tonight. See you tomorrow!
10:10
Following up on the Ted Christopher situation:  TC told Speed51.com that he will be going home after tonight’s DQ.  Christopher also said that he saw no reason to pull apart his motor with so many nights left in the week.  He would have been happy to have a teardown on Saturday night at the end of Speedweeks. He comended his crew for putting his car back together after the wreck last night and then winning the feature.  We’ll have more on this tomorrow on Speed51.com.
10:03
Actually, we’ll have one last update after talking to TC. Hang on one second!
10:03
Well, folks, that’s just about going to do it for Speed51’s crew. Thanks for tuning in this evening and we hope to see you back tomorrow. Thanks again to JEGS for their continued support of our Trackside Now coverage this Speedweeks.
10:02
10:00
It was a fairly clean show this evening but certainly some great racing. Three of the four features were not determined until the final corner. Congrats to the winners once again: Drew Brannon (PLM), Kyle Benjamin (SLM), Dave Cranmer (SK), Chuck Hossfeld (Tour-Type) and Jerry Symons (Florida Modified).

Trackside Now will continue tomorrow around lunchtime as practice is supposed to start right at noon. We also anticipate our first radio broadcast tomorrow. Tune in to Trackside Now for more from the track and a link to the radio broadcast.
9:54
While we have not received official word, the tech building is closing for the day and we see the Brannon team jovially pushing their car back to the pits so we think it’s safe to say all is well. We’ll keep our ears to race control for a few minutes just to make sure.
9:44
We have been told by track staff that Drew Brannon’s engine was torn down and inspected by Ricky Brooks this afternoon. The Brannon team had a tech issue earlier in the week so they wanted to make sure everything in the engine area was a-okay with Brooks and his crew.
9:42
All Super Late Models have Cleared Tech, those Results are Official….
9:38
9:38
We have not heard anything about Super Late Model tech but all cars have left the tech building for that division, so it appears as though everything is a-okay. Pro Lates now head to Ricky Brooks’ Room of Doom

To reiterate what happened for those of you who might have missed it right before the Pro Late Model feature, Ted Christopher’s #00 team refused to let their engine be torn down in post-race inspection and thus have been disqualified after being flagged the winner this evening. Chuck Hossfeld inherits the victory. Full results at the 9:06 posts.

From food critic Adam Mackey, “I have tried five different menu items this week from Flip Flops. I started with the chicken bruschetta, followed with a fried chicken sandwich, then a cheeseburger, a Philly Flatbread pizza, and then today a mahi-mahi fish sandwich. I have been totally satisfied with every meal. Definitely good food at Flip-Flops. (Adam Mackey was not paid for this endorsement…but will accept payment at any time…no really, the food is good.)

We at Speed51.com get a ton of emails, tweets and Facebook messages asking for some publicity for drivers, series and tracks. Much of the news-worthy stuff ends up on one of our outlets. Sometimes, we do take their advice and make them a feature story or do something cool to promote what they have going on.

Now, we want to step up our coverage and publicity for drivers throughout North America to continue bringing fans the most comprehensive short track racing coverage on the web.

To do that, we need your help for two new areas of Speed51.com. Sign up for our Speed51.comDriver Database and Social Media directory. It’ll help you get some story ideas through us at 51 and some new fans when we publish the social media page.
