We at Speed51.com get a ton of emails, tweets and Facebook messages asking for some publicity for drivers, series and tracks. Much of the news-worthy stuff ends up on one of our outlets. Sometimes, we do take their advice and make them a feature story or do something cool to promote what they have going on.

Now, we want to step up our coverage and publicity for drivers throughout North America to continue bringing fans the most comprehensive short track racing coverage on the web.

To do that, we need your help for two new areas of Speed51.com. Sign up for our Speed51.comDriver Database and Social Media directory. It’ll help you get some story ideas through us at 51 and some new fans when we publish the social media page.

Tank Tucker, winner of the last two Speedweeks Florida Modified titles, has pulled out a backup after a rough crash in last night’s feature. He’s pretty confident in the backup though and with good reason. The backup was the car he won the last two Speedweeks in, the car from last night was a brand new chassis.

is Ryan Preece done for the week??

12:43
Yes, we have just walked down to the Ryan Moore pit. Moore’s team had a bent valve despite finishing second last night. They have made an engine change are will be good to go this evening.
12:43
Comment From kmd04106

Did Ryan Moore’s team rectify their motor issues?

12:43
And that can also be said for all divisions racing throughout the 46th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.
12:43
That number will certainly flucuate throughout Speedweeks.
12:42
Yes there are. Officially 33 Pro Late Models teams were on the grounds yesterday.
12:41
Comment From scorer27

I know that it is tough to tell with the pit layout at NSS but are there more PLM cars there than the 20 that made a practice run? Thanks for all the info guys! Have a great raceday!

12:41
Becca Kasten’s team has unloaded their second car. It’s a brand new chassis and they are eager to test it. So the current plan is to go ahead and circle the “primary” car this session and then test the second car in the second practice.

There’s nothing wrong with the primary in so far as we know, but the team just wants to go ahead and see how good the second car is.

Yes, they are free to make the necessary changes to their cars to meet tech and race the rest of the week. As a refresher, Brandon Watson the initial PLM winner was DQed for rocker arms. The initial runner-up was Drew Brannon, who had a left side weight issue. Travis Swaim won that feature after initially finishing third.

We followed up with CRA race officials about some points from last night:

* We incorrectly worded the decision from officials last night about the Ted Christopher-Ryan Preece crash on the fronstretch. Christopher was not sent to the rear of the field because the incident was deemed a “racing incident” not necessarily because no contact was seen between Christopher and Preece. CRA officials clearly saw the contact but, again, felt it was a basic racing incident.

* The restart line is a line in Turn Four. There was some confusion during the Super Late Model race about where exactly the double file restart line is and as such, the line where the leader must be ahead of the runner-up. This will be re-iterated to the drivers during today’s meeting and track officials may try tweaking the general restart procedure to relieve some of the confusion.

11:57
We are following up with a lot of stories from last night, including damaged cars and flared-up tempers. Here were your winners: Ted Christopher (Tour-type), David Cranmer (SK), Travis Swaim (Pro Late Model), Rich Clouser (Super Stock), Kyle Larson (Super Late Model), and Jerry Symons (Florida Modifieds)
11:54
