The SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series closed out their 18th season at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (NV) Saturday night. When the curtain closed on the season after 150 laps, it was Jeremy Doss doubling down by scoring the $10,000 win and his first SRL championship.

Chad McCumbee added his name to the list of Myrtle Beach 400 winners, overcoming adversity and holding off a hard-charging youngster to win the 26th running of the Late Model Stock crown jewel. McCumbee, a veteran of the NASCAR National Series ranks who now runs a limited Late Model schedule in between dates for his newfound successful career in road racing, suffered a broken exhaust during the first half of the 250-lap feature. The halfway break allowed the McCumbee Elliott Racing team to repair the exhaust.
Five Flags Speedway (FL) continued its pre-Thanksgiving tradition on Saturday by hosting the Snowball Derby Preview, a 10-hour open practice offered to teams from any tier of asphalt racing to prepare for the biggest short track racing event of the year.
Saturday night at Myrtle Beach Speedway (SC) was a chance at redemption for Tommy Catalano, and he cashed in for the victory in the 40-lap Modified feature, the second Modified race of the Myrtle Beach 400 Weekend.
Justin Johnson took the lead from Dylan Cappello with 10 laps to go and pulled away to win $3,000 and the 100-lap SpillVak Triple Crown III. Cappello finished atop the Triple Crown standings with the most points in the three races and earned that $1,000 bonus. And when the checkered flag waved to end the 127th race in its 13-year existence the Lucas Oil Modified Series was consigned to short-track racing history.
Adam Resnick inherited the victory in the Carolina Mini-Stock Challenge 4-Cylinder Nationals at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway on Saturday night.
On Thursday night at Seville Quarters in Downtown Pensacola, Florida, the new Miss Snowball Derby was crowned in front of a packed crowd. For the 51st Annual Snowball Derby and all festivities leading up to the historic event, Helena Ciappina will hold the title and crown of Miss Snowball Derby.
Raeford, NC’s Shaun Harrell started from the pole and led all 25 laps to take his second Late Model win of the season Saturday night at Lake View Motor Speedway. Harrell’s win in the 2018 season finale sponsored by VP Racing Fuels and Bobby Taylor Oil Company was worth $2,000.
