1. Pitkat, Szegedy Clash on Final Lap; Santos Wins All-Star

Woody Pitkat was just one turn away from winning his second straight Whelen All-Star Shootout at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon.  Pitkat led Todd Szegedy into turn three on the final lap before the two leaders made contact.  The contact sent Pitkat spinning, Szegedy towards the outside wall and allowed Bobby Santos to cruise by for the win.

2. Armstrong Shows Some Muscle in Redbud at Anderson

Dalton Armstrong did everything right on Saturday night to claim the checkers in the 50th Annual Redbud 300 at Indiana’s Anderson Speedway.  The New Castle, IN driver calls the high-banked quarter mile oval of Anderson Speedway home, so a win in this race is about as big as it could possibly get for Armstrong.

Ty Majeski is certainly, what they say, on a roll, in the ARCA Midwest Tour presented by Scag Power Equipment. Friday night’s Wayne Carter Classic at Grundy County Speedway was Majeski’s fourth win out of the first five ARCA Midwest Tour events. It didn’t come easy for the Seymour, WI driver, however.

10. Thorn Only Needs 34 Minutes to Get Madera Win

Derek Thorn only needed 34 minutes to get the job done Saturday night at Madera Speedway.  The Bakersfield, California driver led every lap of the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series “Race for Autism 125” at Madera Speedway (CA) to pad his slim championship lead after five events on the season.  Thorn was never seriously challenged for the win in a race that saw only one caution and a 108-lap green flag run to complete the event.  For Thorn, the win was special for several reasons.
