The winner of the Tilton Engineering Clutch Performer of the Month Award for the month of April is…
Wheelman Racing Series – Sportsman
What’s more clutch than a last-lap pass that earns a driver a trip to victory lane? How about a last-lap pass with a margin of victory of just 0.008 seconds? That’s exactly what Sportsman racer Brandon Morris pulled off during the Wheelman Racing Series event at Citrus County Speedway on April 27.
When the green flag waved for a restart with two laps to go in the 75-lap feature, it appeared that veteran racer Joe Winchell had things all but wrapped up. That was until the final lap when Morris drove deep into turn one, got Winchell loose off of turn two, pulled the crossover move entering turn three and drag raced him to the line picking up the victory in one of the most thrilling finishes of the 2019 season.

For his clutch performance in the closing laps, Brandon Morris has been named the Tilton Clutch Performer of the Month for April. Morris will receive a $250 product certificate from Tilton Engineering for his clutch performance.
