The most vital race of the year for asphalt Legends Cars racers takes place this weekend at South Carolina’s Anderson Motor Speedway.  It’s the culmination of a year’s worth of hard work.  It’s the U.S. Legends Cars Asphalt Nationals.

This year’s version of the Nationals will decide a champion in what is an incredibly tight points battle for the Pro division.  Peyton Saxton from Nevada, and Michael Dabney Jr. from Texas are currently tied atop the standings with 2000 points each.

The Master’s division has a tight points battle as well.  Sean Glennon of Texas leads Larrel Scott from Colorado by just nine markers heading into Saturday’s race.  Meanwhile, Shon Jacobsen is just 12 points back of Glennon as well.

Connecticut’s Devin O’Connell leads the Semi-Pro division into South Carolina with a 15-point lead over Joseph Graf of New Jersey.  Maine’s Kevin Girard Jr. sits just three points back of Graf, and 18 points behind O’Connell.

Just like the Pro division, the Young Lions also sees a points battle with a tie atop the standings.  Mississippi’s Chase Purdy is deadlocked at 2000 points with New Mexico’s Cameron Morga.  Texas’ Coby Henslee sits just 18 points behind the two leaders with 1982 points.

Speed51 TV will be doing a live pay-per-view broadcast on Friday and Saturday from Anderson Motor Speedway this weekend.  Fans can purchase a two-day ticket for $19.99, or each individual day can be purchased as well.  Friday’s broadcast ticket costs just $9.99, with Saturday’s ticket costing $14.99.
