For the diehard race fans looking to attend the 49th Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway, the time to purchase tickets is now.

Over the years, the Snowball Derby has proved to be more than just a race; it’s an experience. That’s why more and more short track racing fans flock to Pensacola, Florida each year to witness the prestigious Super Late Model event.

With the hype surrounding the Derby larger than ever in 2016, tickets are going fast with seats in the most popular sections already starting to dwindle.

“We’re probably ahead of schedule from where we’ve ever been,” said Tim Bryant, General Manager and Promoter of Five Flags Speedway. “The turn one and two grandstands are not sold out yet, but it’s nearing a sellout. We still have good seats along the frontstretch. Of course we’re always quick to remind folks, on Sunday there’s virtually not a bad seat in the house with all of the haulers removed.”

The good news for those still without their tickets is that there are still tickets available for purchase. Racing fans wanting to taste the experience can punch their ticket to the Snowball Derby today by calling the track office at (850)-944-8400 or by printing out and mailing this year’s ticket form.

Tickets for all four days of racing from December 1-4 in reserved seating are available now for just $75 a person, with VIP packages including reserved seats plus pit passes being available for $120.

For race fans unable to enjoy the full four-day package, reserved tickets for Snowball Derby Sunday are available for $45. General admission seating the week of the event at the gate will also be available, with tickets at $15 on Thursday, $20 on Friday, $30 on Saturday and $40 on Sunday.

Campers can purchase passes for RV parking for $150 in the main lot or at the fairgrounds, as well as behind turns three and four for $100.

For seating info and ticket order forms, be sure to visit the Five Flags Speedway website at www.5flagsspeedway.com and look under the Snowball Derby tab.

The 49th Annual Snowball Derby weekend kicks off with the Cat Country/WEAR-TV3 Green Flag Party on Wednesday, November 30.  On-track activities start Thursday, December 1, for the opening practice rounds for the Snowball Derby Super Late Models and Snowflake 100 Pro Late Models.  The Five Flags Butler U-Pull-It Bombers and The Dock at Pensacola Sportsman divisions will also have feature events on Snowball Derby Thursday.

The top Snowball Derby starting spots will be set on Friday, December 2 during WXBM 102.7 Pole Night at Five Flags.  The Five Flags Faith Chapel Super Stocks and Modifieds will also battle in their Snowball Derby features after Super Late Model qualifying.

The Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100 takes center stage on Saturday, December 3 as the top Pro Late Model racers in the country qualify and battle for 100 laps at Five Flags.  In addition, Saturday’s action features the final 50-lap qualifying event for Snowball Derby drivers to make one last effort to qualify for the 300-lap Super Late Model race.  The Beef O Brady’s Pro Trucks will also have a 50-lap feature on Snowball Derby Saturday.

Then on Sunday, December 4, the green flag will drop on the 49th Annual Snowball Derby at 2 p.m. CT at Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway.
