Oswego, N.Y. –– Fans possessing rain checks from the original date for the 66th Annual Race of Champions will be honored when racing resumes on Saturday, October 29th. Fans that wish to purchase a ticket to see the resumption and remaining qualifying, as well as the features, including the 66th Annual Race of Champions 250 which will now become the finale for racing in New York, can do so with a discount.
$5 discount coupons toward the purchase of any ticket have been placed throughout the region for fans to receive an additional discount off the reduced price of the ticket for the event.
“This event is prestigious and it’s a tradition,” stated Joe Skotnicki, with the Race of Champions. “The race at Oswego on October 29th is going to be an exciting one, we know that and it’s the last chance fans will have to see racing in our region before the weather changes completely.”
$5 discount coupons are available throughout the region, including the Oswego Speedway box office; Lighthouse Lanes; Cam’s Pizzeria; A&P Automotive; Burger King; Dunkin’ Donuts; the Holiday Inn Express; the Knight’s Inn; Quality Inn; Best Western and the Press Box Restaurant all in Oswego as well as select Sunoco locations throughout Central New York and Ontario County. The rescheduled times for the 66th Annual Race of Champions Weekend at the Oswego (N.Y.) Speedway on Saturday, October 29 have been set. The pit gates will open at 10:30am with practice starting and grandstand gates opening at 12:30pm. Racing will resume with any additional qualifying events to be run beginning at 2:00pm followed by the remaining features with the 66th Annual Race of Champions 250 scheduled to take the green at approximately 3:30pm.

Qualifying positions remain open to all teams interested in participating in the Ferris Mowers Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series fueled by Sunoco, the Super Stock All-Star, which the top-16 have already been locked in. The previous criteria based on the original weekend is no longer in effect and any Super Stock team wishing to participate in the Super Stock All-Star is eligible to attend and start behind the top-16. The same is in place for any Small Block Supermodified team that wishes to compete.
