THOMPSON, Conn. — Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park General Manager Josh Vanada has announced that the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will return to the facility for four events during the 2015 racing season. Vanada made the announcement to drivers and teams during the NWMT driver’s meeting on Sunday morning of the Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing.
2015 will be the first season the track has hosted four NWMT events since the 2012 season. In 2013 and 2014, the track held three events that included the season-opening Icebreaker, season-ending World Series, and the Budweiser 150.
The added event will take place on June 10, 2015 and will be a 125-lap event, according to Vanada.
