Lake View, SC – The “Wild Child” Willie Milliken of Roanoke Rapids, NC ended a two-month winless skid by taking the checkered flag for his 6th Late Model win of the season at Lake View Motor Speedway.

 

Milliken set the fastest time in qualifying with lap of 16.860 seconds around the 3/8-mile speedway. But, at the drop of the green, his teammate, Mason Price, would jump into the lead entering turn one. Price would lead until lap 11, but slipped up the track in turn three, allowing Milliken to pass. Milliken led the rest of the way to take the win over Price, Dean Bowen, Chris Miller, and Zach Cox. Rounding out the top 10 were Colby Jenerette, Johnathon Ward, Johnny Pridgen, Dustin Perritt, and Jeffery Johnson.

 

The Sharp Mini Late Models competed for $600 courtesy of All About Cars in Little River, SC and 11-year-old Gavin Cowan led flag-to-flag from the pole to take the win. Matt Harden came home in second, over Fatback Chance, Albert Brayfield, and Ronnie Osmer.

 

Dillon, SC’s Michael Butler grabbed the lead early on from polesitter Brad Harrelson and led the rest of the way to claim his second Pure Stock win of the year. Sam Hardee, Chandler Fowler, Tony Williams, III, and Justin King completed the top five.

 

Richard “Rowdy” Seals led every lap for his seventh UCAR win this year over a strong 16-car field. Kyle Jenks, James Smith, Derek Kemper, and Edward McNamara rounded out the top five.

 

Chris Weatherford go the advantage on his brother, Kevin, at the start for his second 4-Cylinder win of the season. Rounding out the top five were Jason Floyd, Corey Singleton, and Anthony Morris.

 

The Bell & Bell Vintage Cars were in action again with Harry Floyd taking the Sportsman win over Joey Babson and Jim Wilmore. Sherman Garris scored another 6-Cylinder win and WC Bell was the Senior winner. Jason Floyd was the Modified winner over Dean Cumbee and Cameron Norris, IV was the Pro Modified winner.

 

Lake View Motor Speedway will be in action again next Saturday night, September 8 with a huge night of racing, featuring the Carolina Sprint Tour winged sprint cars, Late Models, Super Street, Pure Stock Special, UCARSs and Bell & Vintage Cars.
