The Race for the Dirt Kings Tour Championship Heats up

Freedom, WI — With just five races remaining in the 2019 DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Late Model Tour, the race for the Championship is still wide open. Two-time defending champion Nick Anvelink currently leads Brett Swedberg by a mere 4 points. Swedberg and Anvelink have exchanged the points lead several times already this season. Not far behind them are Troy Springborn, Justin Ritchie, Ron Berna, and Justin Reed who are separated by just ten points.

The month of September will determine the 2019 Champion with five races in just 25 days. TNT Speedway in Three Lakes, Wisconsin will host the Labor Day Shootout on Sunday, September 1, which will be broadcasted live on Speed51.com as part of Summer Thunder TV. The Labor Day Shootout pays $2500 to the King. The Tour will swing to the south for the 2nd Annual Jim “W1ldman” Watson Classic at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 7.

On Saturday, September 14, the Tour will stop at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wisconsin for the DiscountShopTowels.com 30. The completion of the Seubert Summer Series Triple Crown will take place at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour, Wisconsin with the rain-delayed Seubert Triple Crown on Saturday, September 21. And finally, the King will be crowned at 141 Speedway in Maribel, Wisconsin on Thursday, September 26 at the Crowning of the King 30.
