Since its founding in 2001, Speed51 has helped to get you — the race fan — closer to the biggest spectacle in Super Late Model racing year after year. The Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Florida, is always chock-full of so many stories entering the week, along with the usual chaos that is race week.
For the second-straight year, Speed51’s popular short track talk show, ‘The Bullring’ is returning to Pensacola for live shows on the four nights leading up to the big race on Sunday, December 6. Once again, the latest Derby news, along with multiple driver appearances will be coming to the whole world straight from Five Flags Speedway.
Setting up shop in the big tent on the midway at Five Flags, race fans in attendance will also be able see ‘The Bullring’ every night front and center, witnessing all of what the viewers on Speed51.TV will see on their devices wherever they may be.
For the first three nights of the show on Wednesday through Friday, ‘The Bullring’ will go live from the big tent at Five Flags Speedway at 5 p.m. CT / 6 p.m. ET. The week’s final show on Saturday, December 5 will air live at 6pm CT / 7pm ET, right before the Allen Turner Snowflake 100 for the Pro Late Models.
Along with the aforementioned driver appearances, you will get a summary of all the happenings from each day, as well as a lead-up to the main events each night. A variety of Speed51 personalities will also make appearances on the show throughout the week.
Fans can watch The Bullring free both on Speed51.TV, as well as on Speed51’s Facebook page, where you can chime in with your thoughts in the comments section.
The 53rd Annual Snowball Derby begins on Thursday, December 3, with the WCIParts.com Pro Trucks, the Dock of Pensacola Beach Sportsmen and the Lloyd’s Glass Pure Stocks competing in their feature events following the first rounds of practice for Super Late Model and Pro Late Model teams.
Friday, December 4 presents one of the most dramatic and intense days in short track racing, with Snowball Derby teams competing for a spot in Sunday’s race on Country Pleasin’ Sausage Pole Night. The Modifieds of Mayhem Tour 75-lap season finale follows qualifying.
Saturday, December 5 is an action-packed day of racing, featuring the Snowball Derby last chance race, the Snowflake 100 for Pro Late Models and a 50-lap feature for the Faith Chapel Outlaws.
Finally, Sunday, December 6 brings the most prestigious event in Super Late Model racing, the Snowball Derby. Pre-race festivities begin at noon, with driver introductions at 1:15 p.m. At 2:00 p.m., the Snowball Derby begins, starting the 300-lap battle to see who will take home the Tom Dawson Trophy.
The entire week of racing will be available to watch live on Speed51.TV’s pay-per-view broadcast.
