Rising to the challenge is what separates a top-notch driver from the rest of the pack. Whether it’s dominating a race, going on a winning streak or sealing a win with a late-race pass, drivers slowly rise to the top of the field and make a name for themselves.
That’s why the FK Rod Ends, who has nearly 10,000 combinations of rod ends and spherical bearings available and carefully crafts their products, is proud to honor a monthly “Team FK Driver of the Month” from the short track ranks of America on Speed51.com. Each month, an esteemed panel of short track industry insiders will vote on which driver had the most success on the track. The driver with the most votes will then be the “Team FK Driver of the Month” and will receive a $25 product certificate to use at FK Rod Ends. At the end of the 2018 season, the driver that received the most votes throughout the season will then be the “Team FK Driver of the Year” and will be awarded a (to be determined) prize from FK Rod Ends. The winner of the “Team FK Driver of the Month” for the month of October is…
Dirt Late Models
In the world of Dirt Late Model racing there are many races throughout a season and many opportunities to win, but there are those single big races where winning can make an entire season. One of those is the World 100 at Eldora Speedway, where this October Tim McCreadie got that one big win.
“T-Mac” would conquer a World 100 plagued by rain that caused the event to be delayed by 37 days. The final night of prelims was crammed into race day Saturday where a second-place finish set him up for run at the $51,000 prize.
Starting in the fifth spot, McCreadie picked his way forward before making the eventual winning move on polesitter Devin Gilpin on Lap 45. After withstanding a restart in the later laps, the former World of Outlaws Late Model Series champion added his first World 100 trophy to his vast collection.
It is the sixth overall win for T-Mac in 2018 to go with two Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series wins over the summer, plus a trio of Gators from February’s DIRTcar Nationals where he also collected a Big Gator for his Big-Block Modified title over that week.
For his World 100 domination after years of trying, Tim McCreadie has been named the FK Rod Ends Driver of the Month for October 2018.
