Rising to the challenge is what separates a top-notch driver from the rest of the pack. Whether it’s dominating a race, going on a winning streak or sealing a win with a late race pass, drivers slowly rise to the top of the field and make a name for themselves.
That’s why the FK Rod Ends, who has nearly 10,000 combinations of rod ends and spherical bearings available and carefully crafts their products, is proud to honor a monthly “Team FK Driver of the Month” from the short track ranks of America on Speed51.com. Each month, an esteemed panel of short track industy insiders will vote on which driver had the most success on the track. The driver with the most votes will then be the “Team Fk Driver of the Month” and will receive a $25 product certificate to use at FK Rod Ends. At the end of the 2016 season, the driver that received the most votes throughout the season will then be the “Team FK Driver of the Year” and will be awarded $250 product certificate to FK Rod Ends. The winner of the “Team FK Driver of the Month” for the month of May goes to……
Southeast Dirt Modified Series
Not very often can a driver say that they won every race they competed in during a given month. But that was the case for Dirt Modified racer Kyle Strickler who had a batting average of 1.000 during the month of May.
Strickler, who goes by the nickname “High Side Tickler” for his ability to get around the high side of the race track, only raced three times during the month but visited victory lane on each occasion.
Strickler kicked off the month by winning an Open Wheel Modified race the day before Mother’s Day at Dublin Motor Speedway (NC). He followed that up by scoring back-to-back Southeast Dirt Modified Series wins at Wythe Raceway (VA) and Fayetteville Motor Speedway (NC).
For his undefeated record during the month of May in Southeast Dirt Modified competition, the “High Side Tickler” has been named the Team FK Driver of the Month.
Other drivers receiving votes: Ty Majeski, Patrick Emerling, Matt Sheppard, Cody Coughlin, Scott Bloomquist
