Rising to the challenge is what separates a top-notch driver from the rest of the pack. Whether it’s dominating a race, going on a winning streak or sealing a win with a late-race pass, drivers slowly rise to the top of the field and make a name for themselves.
That’s why the FK Rod Ends, who has nearly 10,000 combinations of rod ends and spherical bearings available and carefully crafts their products, is proud to honor a monthly “Team FK Driver of the Month” from the short track ranks of America on Speed51.com. Each month, an esteemed panel of short track industry insiders will vote on which driver had the most success on the track. The driver with the most votes will then be the “Team FK Driver of the Month” and will receive a $25 product certificate to use at FK Rod Ends. At the end of the 2019 season, the driver that received the most votes throughout the season will then be the “Team FK Driver of the Year” and will be awarded a (to be determined) prize from FK Rod Ends. The winner of the “Team FK Driver of the Month” for the month of July is…
Super/Pro Late Models
As temperatures rose around the country, the Senoia, GA driver got hot as well. After the birth of his daughter recently, he made the last-minute decision to make the trip to Memphis International Raceway, where he won his second straight JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Masters of the Pros despite not having any practice the day before.
He then went to Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida for the third Blizzard Series race. While the format was new, the results were more of the same as he picked up his second straight Blizzard Series win and eighth out of the last eleven.
Pollard also got it done on the dirt, winning a Crate Late Model feature at his hometown track of New Senoia Raceway just one night after winning in the Blizzard Series.
With three wins on both asphalt and dirt in the month of July, he is our FK Rod Ends Driver of the Month for July 2019.
Other drivers receiving votes this month were: Brandon Sheppard (six World of Outlaw Late Model wins, including four in a row and the Prairie Dirt Classic), Brad Sweet (Kings Royal winner) and Johnny VanDoorn (Redbud 400 winner).
