Super Select Qualifying Going to Get a Little ‘Rowdy’

Qualifying for the inaugural Speed51 Super Select Super Late Model All-Star Race is going to get a little “Rowdy” at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN) on Saturday, September 7.  Rowdy Manufacturing, a racecar manufacturing company owned by 2015 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch and co-owned by Justin Oertel, has stepped up to the plate to present the $1,000 Rowdy Manufacturing Fast Qualifier Bonus to the driver recording the fastest lap around the 0.686-mile oval in qualifying.

“All of us at Rowdy Manufacturing are looking forward to this one-of-a-kind Super Late Model All-Star Race at Lucas Oil Raceway,” said Rowdy Manufacturing General Manager Cody Glick.  “When the opportunity was presented to become involved and sponsor the Rowdy Manufacturing Pole Award, it was a no-brainer.  This race is going to feature the best of the best in Super Late Model racing, and I’m excited to watch our Rowdy Manufacturing chassis battle for the win.”

A handful of Rowdy Manufacturing chassis will be in action during the Speed51 Super Select, with drivers Matt Craig, Boris Jurkovic and Donnie Wilson already accepting their invitations for the minimum $10,000-to-win race.

Wednesday’s announcement regarding the Rowdy Manufacturing Fast Qualifier Bonus comes one day after an announcement that PFC Brakes, through the Short Track Alliance, will be offering a $1,500 bonus to the driver that wins the first 25-lap segment of the race. Additional announcements will be made leading up to the race; however, marketing opportunities for this star-studded event are still available.

Numerous advertising routes exist for the inaugural Speed51 Super Select, including a Hard Charger Award, Best Appearing Car, Bold Move of the Race award and just about anything else someone can come up with.

Companies are encouraged to email Bob Dillner at [email protected] and/or Adam Mackey at [email protected] for more information regarding advertising with the Speed51 Super Select.

A pair of features will be contested on September 7, one for the Super Late Models and a 100-lap race for the USAC Silver Crown Series.  There will also be a 50-lap Super Late Model race that will be open to all drivers to compete in.  That race will transfer more drivers into the Super Select field.
