Saturday’s feature will be 50 laps, shorter than the season opener held back in February that went 75 laps. The Pure Stocks, Ford Outlaws, Mini Stocks, Mod Minis and DAARA will join the Super Late Models in on-track action. Each local division feature will be 25 laps in length.
This will mark the second appearance for Super Late Models at Citrus County this season. They opened up the 2021 campaign on Saturday, February 20 for their first of seven races at the track, highlighted by the $10,000 to win Full Throttle 100 on September 18. Jared Irvan, son of former Daytona 500 winner Ernie Irvan, swept the night’s events and won the feature despite only being on seven cylinders.
Irvan took the lead from Mike Bresnahan late and held off Wayne Anderson for his first Citrus County Speedway win. The Florida transplant will look to hold off Central Florida’s best while chasing after a second win to start off the year.
Saturday night’s show at Citrus County Speedway will be streamed live on Speed51.TV for premium subscribers. Click here to subscribe.
